ACTing Minds Privacy Policy

Miracle Tea Studios Ltd developed the ACTing Minds game in collaboration with Swansea University and Mikoshi Ltd.

This privacy policy is for the video game ACTing Minds and is served by Mikoshi Ltd and Miracle Tea Studios Ltd and governs the privacy of its users who choose to use the Service.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use the Service.

If you choose to use the Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Are there any other privacy policies I need to be aware of?

Yes. ACTing Minds is built using Unity3D and utilises Unity Analytics to collect information about gameplay progress to identify problems or app improvements. Unity Analytics privacy policy can be found at https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy.

What information is collected?

The game uses Unity Analytics to collect general gameplay analytics such as:

  • Starting/completing/ending a level
  • Session count
  • Session duration
  • Triggers such as number of memories visited and destroyed

Each event includes

  • Timestamp and date
  •  Event ID
  • Platform
  • Session ID
  • Auto generated anonymised User ID

Other meta data about your device may include

  • Device name
  • Operating system version

The way Unity collects information requires the IP address which can be considered personal information.

Why is this information collected?

We collect this information to:

  • Understand drop off points (where players stop playing) which will give us insight into why that might be the case so that we can correct it if need be.
  • Know the daily active users.
  • Know the Day 1, Day 7 and Day 30 retention.

With this information we will be able to fix bugs and continue to support the game.

How is this information collected?

Unity Analytics generates an anonymised user ID for each device when a player first opens the game.

The data is stored anonymously which means it is impossible to identify the user. The anonymised data is held on Unity’s secure servers.

Can I delete and opt-out of future data collection?

Yes. You can opt-out by navigating to the Privacy Policy page in the Main Menu of the game.

Does the game collect information that I type during gameplay?

No. During gameplay, the game asks you to enter personal feelings, struggles and values. What you type here is never uploaded or stored.
